Experimental Light: Alyce Simon & Eva Lee

I am so pleased to share with you this current exhibition, Experimental Light: Alyce Simon & Eva Lee, which can now be seen virtually on Louisiana Art & Science Museum’s very cool LASM 360 website. Upon entering, you can go directly to the exhibition by clicking the “Main Gallery, Second Floor” icon at the bottom of the screen.
Or for fun, hey, you can wander through the museum, find the elevator and take it up! See many other exhibitions along the way : )

All artworks may be seen up close and personal. See Alyce Simon’s mesmerizing irradiated sculptures. All her works in this exhibit were created by a particle accelerator, also known as an “atom smasher”, which she used to focus on acrylic glass, creating patterns as the material was molecularly changed. Wow, how’s THAT for putting a tool at the frontier of science to creative use? Learn more here.
I love this one. It reminds me of today’s frontier of brain research and neuroplasticity. And there are so many more stunning works to see in Experimental Light.

My Winter’s Veil video can be seen “screening” virtually here, too. I must say, I find this LASM360 experience very charming!

Thank you, Lousiana Art & Science Museum for this wonderful exhibit, on view live in real-time Jan 9–July 11, 2021, in Baton Rouge, LA, and virtually on LASM360. To come soon is my Artist’s Talk event in April, 2021!
