Preview of “Experimental Light: Alyce Simon & Eva Lee” at Louisiana Art & Science Museum, LASM

Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at the Louisiana Art & Science Museum curatorial team hard at work installing “Experimental Light: Alyce Simon & Eva Lee” a current exhibition which opened January 9th, on view through July 11, 2021. Our experimental artworks are presented together as artist/scientists who worked in interdisciplinary partnerships with the scientific community, harnessing light to create wholly original pieces.

Pictured above is the globe on which my two-channel video installation piece, Jewel, is projected. LASM posted here a fun video of the care that went into climbing into the ceiling to hoist this piece up and suspend it properly in the middle of the gallery!

While still under installation, the below photo shows Jewel with its dual projections now focused on the globe. To its left in the background is my 3D animation Winter’s Veil.
